Fell Running

Fancy a new challenge?

Look no further than

The NDRC Fell Run Club Challenge

There are 15 races in this challenge, and you can add a 'wildcard' fell race of your choice.

To be eligible for a prize, you have to complete 8 of the races listed during the year (see the fell race calendar).

Once you complete 8, your results will be turned into points (using an age grading and race elevation).

The top male and female will be crowned 'King' and 'Queen' of the Fells for the year!

Why do it?

Running in the beautiful Peak District, on our doorstep! Not to mention the stunning views rewarding your hill climb efforts! 😍

Fell races are significantly cheaper than most road races (£7 average race price, total highest challenge cost £71)

The social side - these races are more relaxed and have a 'grass roots' vibe. It's not all about the PBs!

Who wouldn't run for cake, beer, BBQ or pub grub afterwards? 😉

There's always a mix of ages, abilities and people who race the fells

Races where it's acceptable to walk up hills? YES PLEASE! 🙌

All of these races are run by local villages, school PTA groups or neighbouring clubs.

Nature is a natural boost for mental wellbeing and these courses are sure to increase fitness!

Prizes!

Overall winners and anyone who completes the challenge will receive a fell running related prize.
