Club Challenge

Join our club challenge

Our Club Challenge is for all members of the club and involves running a minimum of 8 local races.

Prizes are given to the most improved runners of the year!

It’s a fun competition that supports the local races and encourages us all to improve our times and strive for our running goals.

How it works

Each person is allocated a predicted race time based on performances at races in the previous year. (Discretion may be used for those who’ve had serious injury)

For new members an online pace calculator will be used from either your first club race or a parkrun.

Scoring is simple. The further you are under your predicted time the more points you score.

A wildcard race is yours to choose (i.e. doesn’t have to be taken from the list of club challenge races). Just make sure you let Challenge Captain, Shaun Johnson, know which you are doing.

Rules of the competition

Run in a Club Vest

No limit to the number you can complete, but you must complete at least 8 to be entered.

Times will be taken from race results and chip times.

In the event of a chip failure, runners will be asked to submit a watch time screen shot.

One of the races from the NWIP, Holmebrook 5k & Community 5k series can be submitted as your wild card race. Make sure you submit your best time from the year though. Once race times are in, no changes allowed!

Any questions, message Shaun Johnson.
